Book cover illustration for the first book by author Katja Meier.  This was a truly inspiring process, very collaborative, with great attention to detail to ensure the feeling of the book was reflected on the cover.  Based on Dutch/African wax block printing and Tuscan motifs, the design uses bright process colours and icon illustrations set on a repeating ‘road’ pattern.
